PHUYU Gallery is an exhibition space for artists from different disciplines and nationalities founded in the city of Buenos Aires. It represents a contemporary and diverse vision of artistic creation with the purpose of positioning the work of photography, painting, and sculpture of artists represented and invited by this artspace of cultural exhibition. The name PHUYU is inspired by the Andean vision of cloudiness. At altitude, where “the cold is transparent and the silence is great” (Arguedas), that element of constant transit adheres, often contemplative, or sometimes theatrical and furious. Just like the clouds, each of the participating artists re-transmits what they absorb from their environment, just as the sky takes moisture from the earth and turns it into a spectacle.
